Maike Clemens received a scholarship from the City of Vienna at the age of seven and was taught early on by Professor Georg Baich. Her studies at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) led her to Natalia Gutman and Bernhard Hedenborg, among others, with whom she completed her master's degree in violoncello in 2024.
She has won several international competitions and has been a permanent member of the United Stages Vienna Orchestra since 2022. As a soloist, she has performed Gulda's Cello Concerto with the MUK Vienna Orchestra at the Radiokulturhaus Wien and Haydn's Cello Concerto in D major at the Sommernachtsklänge Aspern 2022.

In addition to her work as an orchestral musician, Maike Clemens is also active as a versatile chamber musician. With the duo David e Mia, she has been creating cross-genre concert formats that combine classical music with new forms of presentation for over seven years, performing in more than ten countries, including the Wiener Konzerthaus and Musikverein Wien. With the Duo Rabonde, together with clarinettist Felicia Bulenda, she composes her own pieces in the field between crossover and world music. Her artistic work is characterised by openness, stylistic curiosity and the search for new ways to bring music to life.
